It is possible to vent soil pipes using the lapVent system – a few major conservation projects have installed it out of necessity.
The reason that it is not usually done, is because of the risk of gasses returning back into the roof space when the wind blows. To avoid this, and to stop negative blow-back, there would have to be an inlet and outlet, suck and blow, also any breaches in the surrounding underlay would have to be suitably sealed (tape/mastic, etc.).
A duo pitch roof always has to contend with both negative and positive loads as wind passes over it. Therefore, a T piece would be needed to connect trunking to 2 mechanical extractor type lapVents, one on each side of the roof.
